HOK London has moved!
Granted, I am a couple of weeks late in posting this, but it’s official: HOK London’s design studio has a new home! We are now residing in the signature Qube building at the north end of Tottenham Court Road (see image below). As well as being aesthetically beautiful, Qube has achieved the highest building and environmental standards, achieving a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating (the UK’s equivalent to LEED).

James Berry, HOK London, Director of Management & Operations, commented on our move:
“HOK understand that the built environment has a profound affect on people’s lives. We chose Qube for its fantastic central location and the high quality of the building’s architecture and interiors. As a signature building in a strong, central W1 location, it will place our staff at the very heart of London’s commercial design and creative industries.”
It was with heavy hearts that we left our old abode above Topshop at Oxford Circus (especially me, as this signalled an end to my whirlwind spur-of-the-moment shopping sprees around the biggest fashion store in London which was just downstairs), but I am so happy to tell you that we love the new place!
We are only 10 mins walk away from our old office, but it really is a different world. Instead of being in the thick of the shopping / tourist mecca that the intersection of Oxford Street and Regents Street, we are now in a very civilised area of trendy media companies, bars and some of the best restaurants in the city. I love it.
We are in the process of having the photos of the HOK-designed interior taken, so as soon as those have been approved I will be posting them up here for you all to see.

I love the reflection of the clouds in this photo.
Does the building corbel outward, slightly? Tres chic.
I’ll be in London next week, I’ll have to try and fit a visit in to see the buidling and office!
Love the building it has almost made up my mind when it comes to what architecture firm i want to work for and where im going to live as well but does anyone know what attitude Hok has when it comes to being very official or are they casual around the office?
