Come on... do you really think the sun, sand and surf are going to help you win a hockey game? Hockey is all about bearing the cold weather! When is the last time you had a snow ball fight or went ice skating on a frrezing lake? I think if anything, our seasons make us better suited for hockey. (Nevermind that it's 80 degrees out today, see MaryAnn's article "Happy Earth Month.") GO BLUES!;)

That's right.

As a native Angeleno AND a Wash U alum, I know for a fact that the Kings are better than the Blues. Sure, the Blues might have been good back when they played in the Arena, or when they had Hull and Oates and Shanahan. But those days are long gone.

The similarities between the two teams are striking: both started in 1967, both had Wayne Gretzky on their roster, and both have never won the Stanley Cup.

But that's going to change this season. The LA Kings are dominating the Western Conference with a goalie who is unstoppable and a team that's finally got it together. So we'll see you on Saturday at the Kiel...no, Saavis...no, Scottrade...(wait what's the name of the arena this year?) and take back home ice advantage.
